My wife got me a candle for Christmas last year. I've always liked that she loves candles and appreciate the way she uses them to enhance our vibe at all the right moments and in all the right places. But I never had a candle of my very own until a few months ago.
This one was in the shape of a lion's head - a huge lump of amaranthine wax the size of a melon. I set it on my desk and let it rip and didn't think too much about it. And yet I would occasionally find myself side-eyeing my candle as I worked, watching the wax creep slowly down the sides and onto my desk where it pooled in gobs and rivulets of Dali-esque, dayglo-red goo. I couldn't take my eyes off it.
"I love this candle", I said to my wife simply.
"That's nuthin'," she replied.
A few days following the expiration of my beloved new candle, a package of Candlestock Drip Candles arrived. My wife set one up for me in the neck of one of her decorative bottles, lit it, smiled (I believe wryly), and left me to it. Within minutes wax started to drip and drizzle down the sides in glorious threads of living color, and friend... I was transformed, transported, transfixed.
Since then (it's been weeks now) I've been through multiple packages of them, and despite the endless hours of enjoyment they've afforded me, I think my experiment might be coming to a close...

To be fair, I'm not sure this is exactly what Candlestock intended with this product - a subtler, more elegant effect was probably in order. But this has been a good time bar none and I make no apologies.
Thanks for the candles, love!
